For SIA approved contractors, expeditioners, exploration staff, media and freelance journalists who wish to have a higher level of first aid including for hostile environments, we recommend attending First Person on Scene training medical courses (FPOS).  These courses are approved by the Institute of Healthcare Development and were developed in association with NHS Ambulance Services. Given the background of our instructors, the courses we deliver are tailored to include Hostile Environment and Remote Area Medical content. Certification is provided by Risk Lifesigns and the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh). Individuals can book onto courses here.
