Alistair Cole FRGS FLS F.Inst.TT

After a decade with the military, Alistair specialised in working in remote overseas project management as a medical and risk mitigation instructor, before returning to the UK and founding the Lifesigns Group. As a qualified Mountain Leader, Alistair has led over 40 overseas expeditions, holds numerous NEBOSH and CIEH safety qualifications, is an instructor in Off-Site Safety Management and is an experienced Trauma Medic. Alistair advises the media on overseas safety alongside advising travel organisations on strategy and safety. He is a fellow of both the Royal Geographical Society and the Linnaean Society, previous Chairman of the Expedition Providers Association and is a guest lecturer at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. Alistair has delivered High Risk and Hostile Environment Training to numerous media organisations including ITN, NPR and Channel 4 as well as many independent companies. 

Ian Forbes FRGS

Ian served for over 25 years with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers before receiving an honourable discharge, holding the rank of Warrant Officer, First class and then joining the Lifesigns Group. He is an experienced and highly qualified Mountain Leader, having led over 50 overseas expeditions to date. Ian is also a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. He has provided expert safety instruction as an overseas safety advisor to the BBC and has coordinated logistics and security on programmes such as SAS are you tough enough and Human planet. He is an Off-Site Safety Management instructor, RLSS National Water Safety Management Instructor, 4x4 instructor, qualified Wilderness Medical Technician and holds numerous safety and auditing qualifications. Within the REME, Ian specialised in vehicle training and recovery including training UK Special Forces. Ian has experience in training numerous media organisations including Hostile and Remote Area Safety training.

Diane Patrick

Diane worked across the globe in a variety of positions before retraining as a Paramedic in the UK. During her time overseas she qualified as a PADI master scuba instructor, worked as the Diving Officer for Raleigh International, qualified as a Coastguard Watch Assistant for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency and became a Detainee Escort Officer. 

Diane is a qualified trauma and wilderness medical instructor, specialising in training the Metropolitan Police and has worked as the race medic on TV productions in Asia and ultra marathons in the Yukon, Gobi and Amazon jungles.

D Macfarlane MBBS BSc MRCS 

Doniert has a background in Orthopaedics and Emergency Medicine. He founded Remote Medical Support over 10 years ago and has extensive experience of expedition medicine issues and prehospital care. When not advising the Lifesigns group he works part-time as an Emergency Department Consultant.

Stacy Mallaby

Stacy has always had a passion for the outdoors and the natural world which led to her studying BSc Zoology and MSc Tropical Marine Biology. Following university, Stacy indulged her passion for travel, spending two years as the Resident Marine Biologist on a small island in the Indian Ocean. Travelling has given her a deep appreciation for different cultures and how communities interact with and rely on the natural world. She is an experienced and qualified diver and holds various remote medical qualifications, alongside the off-site safety management and aquatic rescue safety programmes.

Jonathan Moutia

Having studied business and finance at Greenwich University, Jonathan joined the Lifesigns Group. Jonathan has previously worked across both the charity and commercial sectors.
